From the Airport to your Hotel:
Public Transport

Budapest Airport is relatively accessible by public transport. Passengers are taken by a direct bus service from Terminals 1 and 2, called the Bus 200 to Köbánya-Kispest metro terminal. Please click http://www.bkv.hu/english/busz/200e.html for the timetable of this service.
Another option is Bus 93 which operates from Terminal 1 to Kobánya-Kispest metro station too. The timetable for this service can be found on http://www.bkv.hu/english/busz/93.html
From Kobánya-Kispest metro station you can take the M3 metro line (blue line) to connect with other metro stations in the city. The timetable for the M3 metro line (blue line) can be found on http://www.bkv.hu/english/metro/index.html

Taxis and Shared Transfers

Taxis can be booked online in advance of your arrival to Budapest using Fox Transfer. The average cost of a private taxi is 6200 HUF*. Limousine and VIP transfers are also available for reservation. Alternatively one may pre book a shared transfer for around 2500 HUF*. If you wish to book a taxi, shared transfer, VIP or limousine now, please use the below booking form:

There will be a taxi transfer desk for delegates of the 28th International Epilepsy Congress in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2 serving Terminal 2A and Terminal 2B on Saturday 27th June and Sunday 28th June from 08:00-20:00. Please look out for the 28th International Epilepsy Congress desk in the middle of the Arrivals Hall or ask any airport steward for directions. From this desk, a taxi will be arranged to take you to your hotel at an average cost of 6200 HUF*. Subject to availability, limousine and VIP transfers are also available for reservation. Alternatively one may reserve a seat in a shared transfer for around 2500 HUF*.

 If you arrive before Saturday 27th June or after Sunday 28th June and wish to take a taxi to your hotel, there is a Zonataxi booth outside the Arrivals Hall from where a taxi can be ordered for you.

From your Hotel to Hungexpo:
Public Transport

Take the M2 metro train line (red line) to the last stop ‘Ors vezer ter metro station’

Then take the number 100 bus from outside the metro station; the bus stop is on your right approximately 100 metres away. There will be stewards at the train station with signage to direct delegates to the bus stop. Please click here to view the timetable.
Transport maps and the timetables for the number 100 bus are available to pick up at the registration area and can be downloaded from the congress website.

Tickets may not be purchased in advance of the congress but may be purchased at any metro station or at the City/Tour information desk at the congress registration area. Please note that tickets are not included in the cost of registration.

Should you plan on using public transport to attend the congress every day, it is recommended that you purchase a 3 day or 7 day pass (which costs respectively 3700 HUF and 4400 HUF*) from the City/Tour Information desk. This pass will allow you to travel on all metro and buses in Budapest.


Taxis
Taxis are widely available all over Budapest and will cost between 1500 HUF and 3000 HUF* from most parts of the Pest side of the city to HungExpo; taxis from the Buda side to Hungexpo may cost more.
There will be a taxi counter inside the registration area from where one can order taxis for the duration of the congress.

*(exchange rates at beginning of June 2009 are 1 € = 275 HUF and 1 US$ = 200 HUF)
